Andropause is a stage in man's life when there is a noticeable decline in the male hormone testosterone. This usually happens when a man is his late 40's or early 50's. However it can extend until you reach your eighties. During this period of hormone decline men tend to suffer physical, emotional, psychological and behavioral problems.
Andropause symptoms vary from one man to another. However most men between fifty to seventy years old report the following symptoms: erectile dysfunction, tiredness, sudden mood swings, night sweats and occasional heart palpitations.
But what happens to a man during the andropausal years?
The decrease of testosterone makes andropausal men likely to become more involved in domestic issues w such as cooking, house keeping and bonding with children or grand children. Men tend to devote more time to the family and hobbies rather than work. In a sense, the decrease of testosterone level in Andropause men tends makes them gentler and domesticated. Men become less ambitious and impulsive and much easier to get along with during andropause.
Andropause is apart of aging, and it isn't always a bad part of life, it is a chance for men to take the time to bond with family and friends, to be noticed for his achievements, efforts and wisdom.
